Island Link Co. (“Island Link”, “we”, “us”) operates the Island Link platform — a directory that helps people discover and connect with local businesses across Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide when registering: name, email, phone number, username, and password.
- Business listing information submitted by business owners: business name, description, category, address/location, contact details, hours, photos, and links.
- Usage data: pages viewed, searches, and device/browser information, collected to operate and improve the service.
- Location: business locations are shown on a map. We do not track your personal device location unless you explicitly enable it in your browser.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and business listing.
- To display the directory, map, and “What’s New” content.
- To process membership payments and send service-related emails.
- To respond to enquiries and provide support.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform:
- Hosting & database (DigitalOcean / our Directus backend) — to store and serve the platform.
- Stripe — to process membership payments securely. We never store full card details.
- Resend — to send transactional and contact emails.
- Google Maps — to display business locations on the map.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as light/dark theme). We do not use advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Contact below); some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.

Children
Island Link is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
