Where to Stay in Grenada for Spicemas 2026

The Grenada areas to stay in for carnival, and how close each puts you to the action.

Where to Stay in Grenada for Spicemas 2026

The first rule of Spicemas is book your room early. Carnival week is the busiest time of year on the island, the diaspora books months ahead, and the good spots go first. If you are reading this and you have not booked, do that next. Then come back and pick your area.

Here is how the main areas stack up for carnival.

St. George's

The capital and the center of a lot of the action. Staying in or near St. George's puts you close to the shows, the Carenage, and the parade routes. If you want to walk home from things and be in the middle of it, this is your spot.

Grand Anse

Grenada's famous two-mile beach, a short drive south of the capital. This is the resort and hotel strip, so it is where most visitors stay. You get the beach in the daytime and an easy taxi to the fetes at night. A good balance if you want carnival and a holiday.

Lance aux Epines and the south

Quieter, with guesthouses and villas, a little further out. Good if you are coming with a group and want your own space, and you do not mind arranging rides to and from the action.

St. George's and Morne Rouge:

  • Siesta Hotel — Morne Rouge. Family-owned boutique hotel, short drive from the capital and close to Grand Anse Beach. A practical base for moving between shows and fetes.
  • Wave Crest Apartment — St. George. Spacious, self-contained apartments. Good if you want to be in town and cook between events.

Grand Anse:

  • Coyaba Beach Resort — Grand Anse Beach. Full resort right on the beach. The option most people picture when they think Grand Anse — beach access, pool, and dining on site.
  • Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort — Grand Anse Beach. Boutique resort set in the hillside above Grand Anse with a beautiful view. One of the better small properties on the island.
  • Hills & View Apartments & Rentals — Golf Course, Grand Anse. Spacious apartments near Grand Anse. Good value and convenient.
  • Grand Anse Beach Palace — Falledge. Beachfront guesthouse near Grand Anse. Personal touch and good access to the beach.
  • Momo's Apartments — Falledge. Budget option with ocean views of Grand Anse Beach. Clean and affordable.
  • Captain Harris — Grand Anse. Budget self-catering with a homely atmosphere close to Grand Anse Beach. Good if you want to keep costs down.
  • Belview Apartments — Belmont. Comfortable, fully furnished apartments in the Grand Anse area. Good value for longer stays.

Lance aux Epines and south:

  • Caribbean Cottage Club — Grey Stones. Family-run guesthouse with six artistic cottages. A unique spot well suited to a group or a longer carnival stay.
  • Cocoa Cove Resort — New Westerhall Point. Luxurious boutique resort away from the tourist strip. If you want carnival access plus a quiet retreat to come back to, this is it.

A few booking tips

  • Book refundable if you can. Plans change around carnival.
  • Ask about carnival-week minimum stays. Some places set them.
  • Check the distance to the parade route, not just the beach. On the big days, roads close and traffic is heavy, so being close matters. See getting around.
